This is the second picture of a series designed to advertise Haribon’s skill as an artist. I asked that he draw a popular character to help attract attention to his artwork. Title: Select Cortana

Background:
This is a sequel commission to Title: Sleep Tight, Master Chief [link] . The Phalanx infected Cortana with their transmode virus and altered her programming. She changed loyalties to the Phalanx and became a Select, an elite officer within the Phalanx’s army.

Story:
Select Cortana walked down the cryostasis ward and touched each control panel with care. A flicker of light followed each touch and the transmode virus transferred from its host carrier into the cryostasis tube holding a sleeping SPARTAN. There would be no resistance, there would be no fighting it. The SPARTANs would awaken from their peaceful slumber and yield to the Phalanx.

A smile spread across Select Cortana’s face. Her masters let her experience bliss beyond human parameters for the work she was doing, spreading the virus and recruiting new soldiers to their cause. She savored the experience on each ship she infected, but she cherished the first time with the Master Chief the most. In due time, the Phalanx would return him to her. For now, her work was not finished and the transmode virus yearned to spread to more uninfected hosts.
